Left Mouse Button | Fire Simple Missile |
Right Mouse Button | Fire Special Missile |
Enemies
Your enemies will spawn at random intervals along the edges of the game screen so be careful of your positioning. The enemies will attempt to destroy you by colliding with your ship. Carefully maneuver around and destroy them before they reach you!
Weapons
Your ship is equipped with two weapons. The left mouse button is your default weapon and will take 3 shots to destroy an enemy. The right mouse button fires a special missile that will destroy an enemy ship immediately. This is useful when you find yourself in a tight position and need to create space. There is a short cooldown on this weapon so use it wisely!
High Score
Your final score is calculated based on the following criteria:
- Number of enemies killed
- Time spent alive
- Accuracy
Master the mechanics and continue to push yourself to achieve the highest score that you can!
About the development
The goal of this project was to go through the formal design process of identifying the element of fun and gamer motivation I wanted my game to capture. I created a Game Design Document to outline the core gameplay features and systems necessary to achieve this goal. I utilized a DevLog to chronicle the development process and to ensure that the scope was kept in check.
Please give G3 Sector a shot and be sure to leave feedback via the comment section!
